The dashboard is telling me that the battery
voltage is to high. The battery is getting hot and
making like a sizziling noise.

Alternator may have a bad voltage regulator and over charging battery, get it tested asap and replace if bad. Any auto parts store will test it. The battery itself may also be bad, if it has a weak cell and the alternator is constantly trying to charge it, but I suspect the problem is over charging.
