I have owned many BMWs, also a tech for high end European cars for over 5 years now, a red and white key fob doesn't sound familiar, can you post a pic....are we sure it is original/factory? test/replace the battery correctly?
yea i have checked the battery an all is working that end an its jus the buttons are coloured one red one white the fob is black
gotcha, has the battery been replaced, were you able to make sure the contacts are still clean and operating those are the most often reasons these quit working, (over time condensation will set it)are you capable of "popping"it in half, (some have a small screw in the back of them/or under the logo, but usually right by the key ring at the bottom, there is a small groove, small enough for a "eyeglass fixing size" regular screw driver, and that would release the 2 halves, someone at an auto zone/advanced/napa, should be up to the task of opening it, AFTER YOU USE THE FREE BATTERY LIGHT INDICATOR USUALLY ON THE COUNTER!!!!!!!!!!, good luck, let me know if any of it works,
Below is a link for how to initialize different kind of BMW remotes for older vehicles. Your remote I have not seen before but I think if has to be similar. Good luck hope this helps. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php? t=1680282
