Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car was running fine. Shut it off went to start 2
hours later wouldn't crank and dashlights flickered.
Jumped it and started and ran it for a few mins. I
shut it off then wouldn't restart. Dashlights
flickered again and made clicking noises. Jumped
second time drove it home for 20 25 min hoping to
recharge pulled in driveway shut it off then
wouldn't restart again. So I thought battery but it
starts when jumped and runs til you turn off and try
to turn on again. What's going on?

I would have to believe that you are having issues with the alternator. That can lead to permanent damage to the battery. If you have a national auto parts chain like Pep Boys, O'Riellys, or Autozone you may want to limp it over there so they can test both parts. Otherwise, remove and get a ride to have them bench tested. That way, if anything is bad you can swap them out. If you are doing the repair yourself, you should have no trouble at all. A relatively straight forward job. If you are going to enlist the services of a shop, make sure you Google the amount of shop hours and average price for your zip code.
