2010 Kia Rio won't start, I left dome light on last night. Neighbor tried to jump with small car and nothing then tried his truck and all lights came on but wouldn't turn over, so close.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took battery to shop and said it was
good. Tried to start again and after 5
attempts lost power...maybe
altenator? Also last 2 weeks
Malfunction indicator light has come
on Kia manual says driving may cause
damage to emissions control system
or flashing which it's been doing
could cause potential catalytic
converter damage...could this cause
it not to start? Thank you!

The catalytic converter and the no start problem are probably not related. Get a deep charge on your battery. If you live in the US AutoZone dose it for free.

I have a 2001 Kia shortage 4wd took battery to auto zone said it was good just put a new alternator on it and drive then battery is completely dead and wont start back up unless I charge my battery it's like my alternator ain't charging my battery what could be my problem thanks in advance
