Driver side power window will do down but pain to get it to go back up

Asked by vslpeay Sep 18, 2014 at 10:38 AM about the 2010 Dodge Journey SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had one of our maintenance guys go out and help at least get my window back up.
He was cking on a couple of things-Window WILL go down smoothly ONCE you get it to come up.
We have to play with the button (pull back and wiggle) to get it to come back up

Does this narrow down the issue possibilities?

My guess is the switch. ButI wwould pull the door panel and grease the living hell out of the track also.

My 2013 does exactly same thing. I just purchased a new switch, will try to get back on here to tell you whether that worked or not.
