Alternator charging

Asked by Markese Feb 07, 2018 at 08:32 PM about the 2010 Pontiac G6 Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I connected my battery on wrong and my car will
start but won’t stay running. I heard a loud pop and
smelled smoke under the car when I connected the
battery. I got the alternator tested it is fine. Battery
is charged. My question is, is there a fusible link
that goes to the alternator/battery? Also can I toss
out the fact that the computer may be bad since the
car started and ran for a few minutes before losing
the dash display exterior lights etc.
