My dashboard lights go off sometimes and I cannot read the speedometer etc... What would cause this?

If not a bad contact at a fuse. Check the wires at the back of the cluster. Make sure nothing is loose. Pull on all the wires make sure a pin isnt trying to come out of the connector. But you make have a bad cluster something could be going wrong internally if no other issues are found.
