2009 Explorer fan issue

Hi.  I have a 2009 Explorer that has developed an issue of the fan stops
blowing for a 15 to 30 second period and then starts again.  I have experienced
this not only with the a/c, but with just the fan on.  It just stops putting out any
air and then ti comes back.  No noise when it happens. Any idea what it would
be?  Thanks for any suggestions.

Short brushes in the blower motor is likely, next time it quits tap the motor with a small hammer or something similar if it comes on replace the motor less likely is a bad connection.
