So you pulled a cat code? Most times it's something else, and not the converter itself. Further diagnostics is required to save the cost of replacing the cat and you still have the code.
Prices will vary but it can easily run a grand. In California make sure it is the exact correct cat and have the installer give you all the back up paperwork. Other states may not be as picky but some are.
