Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I also have the check engine issue along with the traction indicator light, but
the other issue is whenever I put gas in the car at any station the car will not
start. it acts like it is trying to over then dies, I have to leave it for 5-10 minutes
before it starts

Have it read for codes, even if the check engine light is NOT on the computer will have stored information and codes. Discount auto stores will read codes for no fee. write them down.

This is a weird one, except that there's a "soft" recall for '09 Imps (and probably Fors) for the vacuum purge valve sitting near the intank fuel pump that fails. More common complaint I've heard is that fuel splashes back up fill tube when attempting to add fuel. Can't remember if there's an accompanying CEL. Regardless, sounds like a fuel pressure problem that may be more related to this valve rather than the pump itself. Either job is a bit of a headache because of location. Try to get SOA to help out with cost. Good luck.
