Interior vents not blowing hot or cold air

Asked by Dante2015 Jun 08, 2020 at 11:10 PM about the 2009 Dodge Journey SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My vehicle when I turn my ac /heat on nothing comes thru
the front or rear vents it just makes a weird vibration type
noise. The fan moves from what I can see the fuses are
good also, so I'm wondering if something could have been
stuck in the hoses. And if there is a way for me to check
them.

it sounds like your blower motor is out. On most cars the blower motor is located under the dash on the passenger side.

the Blower motor on your dodge is an one of the easier ones to get at. It is at the bottom of the dash under the glove box. you will have to take the kick panel off under the dash and its held in with black push pins.once you get that off you will want to check first to see if the blower motor is bad so you will need a test light. unplug the blower motor and with the test light with the blower on take the test light and touch each metal prong in the connector if the the test light lights up then your blower motor is bad if not then you are not getting power to the blower and will want to chech the blower motor Resistor that is located next the the blower motor.
