A/C blowing hot and car running hot

Asked by Tequila23 Aug 01, 2015 at 12:06 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Impala LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had my oil pump replaced on my 08 impala
by a shade tree mechanic. Then I went to a
Chevrolet dealer and they replaced the oil
sensor so now the check engine light is off.
The dealership also said that the mode
actuator is the reason the driver side is
blowing heat. My issue is that it's hot 100° +
outside and I can't go anywhere without
airconditioning. Now my air conditioner is
blowing hot air and my car is going towards
the H (trying to run hot) do you know if it's
the actuator or the thermastat? Please
help!!!!!

Absolutely right but be sure to replace thermostat at the same time also check for collapsed hoses... do it right and replace them too!

The engine is NOT HOT. This is NOT a issue with failing water pump. If it were the problem the engine woul be hot. Which it is NOT.
