2007 veracruz trunk door wont open

I took off back panel and tried the safty latch but wont open.servo is working when I have someone push the latch on the outside I can see and hear the latch moving. has any one had this problem and how can I get the door open.

There is a button inside the glove box, on the left that turns the auto on/off. The hatch will only open manually. Look hard.. Small button. At least that is what worked on my 2010.

I have this same problem and my van has NO button in the glove compartment. Any other suggestions?

Did you figure this out on the 2007 I'm having same problem now

I have same problem did the same safety latch wont work, Can here the motor of the latch but not releasing. No one has figured the problem yet.
