2007 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 hemi

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

About a month ago my dodge would not start, it
was running perfect and out of the blue would not
come back on. I had no oil pressure either. I hooked
a computer to it and it said the crankshaft position
sensor along with oil pressure sensor was bad. So I
replaced it and got it running perfect again. A
month later it just did the same thing and my dodge
will start, but only idle. I have no oil pressure and no
way of acceleration. I replaced the crankshaft
position sensor once again and it did not work. I
hooked up the computer to my truck and it is telling
me I have a crankshaft sensor fault and low oil
pressure sensor. Dealing with I replaced the
crankshaft sensor already and it did nothing, I
figured to ask online to see if anyone has had a
similar problem?

I would get an oil pressure gauge and see what your actual pressure is, if it's truly low you risk destroying your engine running it that way. The computer may be trying to save your engine because it's sensed low oil pressure whether the oil pump itself is to blame or just the oil switch

My oil pressure should be fine when I start my truck now sometimes it will show no oil pressure, sometimes the oil pressure will be perfect, but I have no acceleration at all and it’s still reading the same codes
