Have a 2007 escape.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Transmission just quit. No lights flashed no
check engine light on. When I turn it off n let
it set awhile it will take off. Then stalls. I'm
sure it needs rebuilding but any pointers
before I tear it apart. And is there any type of
additive to make it work for a few more
months

No additives will work. Have you checked the transmission fluid level and condition of the fluid? Don't monkey around with the transmission internals unless you know what you are doing. Best of luck with it.
