2008 dodge avenger

I gave a dodge avenger and the
oil was low, so I added some.  
Now the check engine light is on
and it tried to stall out on me.  It
has 115,000 miles.  When
adding oil,  I noticed one was
5w30 not all was 5w20.   Could
this harm my car. I  am scared to
drive it
