Battery Inspection Issues

My car can’t be registered until it passes inspection
according to the DMV, and the car has battery draw
issues I can’t afford to diagnosis and fix at the
moment until I can get my car inspected and
registered and start working again. The battery died
and was taken out and placed on a charger, but
since there is a draw it still dies very frequently and
requires a jump. The car can’t pass inspection until
I drive around 50 more miles with it. How am I
supposed to drive 50 miles in a car with no
inspection and no registration, and if the battery
ends up dying in between those miles and needing
jumped again, will that reset it and require me to
start over with 50-60 more miles?
