Jeep Patriot wont start
Asked by Amanda Jul 15, 2019 at 03:37 PM about the 2008 Jeep Patriot Sport
Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Just drove my jeep home. Came inside and ran back out.
Went to start it and nothing. No turnover. No engine noise.
No ignition sounds. Nothing but a fan blowing in my face.
Any ideas?

Sounds like starter -kenny let me no if that helps
It possible that the battery may need to be replaced. Turn off all accessories (i.e. radio, A/C, etc...). Let the car sit for 30 minutes and try again.
We have a 2017 wrangler with 6speed Manuel transmission doing the same thing , had it towed to local dealer after sitting for4 days before looking at it , the jeep starts again so they did nothing (couldn’t duplicate problem) but it will happen again
Hi, I'm having issue with my 2010. Were you able to find out the cause of it??
I have replaced the starter, all the relays (G8HE type) and got the battery checked by Auto Zone. But, this problem didn't go away. Please help.
Electronic control module i think my 2014 jeep patriot latitude started doing same thing

Remove the inside cover, in front of the wheel well on the drivers side front fender(turn wheel right all the way, or remove Drivers front wheel) black box bolted to the frame is relays. i've seen several with a corroded contact in the top right corner(post 3 of 5 on the starter relay) replace the relay or relay mount box then tape/seal the wires above the box right to the current wire cover and the box water gets inside there and rots the spade connectors that mount the relay. mine was starting once in a while but finally rotted out and just quit.
