well hey I have a 2008 Land Rover I just replace the brake pads and the rotors I take it for a test drive the car stops but will not stop on a dime it feels like the brakes are a little weak

Did you remove the brake lines while doing the repairs? If so you need to bleed them. Sounds like could be air in the system.
