sometime truck wont start... What is wrong with it?

Ya i own a lincoln mrk lt as well And ford has pulled off the biggest scam ever by not recalling these vehicals The timung chains tighting mechanism is faulty and in the end result you loose evry tine Its the worst vehical ive ever owned. And you would think the word lincoln would have been the reasurrance., well forget it , its the worst We need more owners if these vehicals to demand fird to be accountable....

We need to band together and do something We didnt spend iver $50,000.00 to be left with nothing Strength by numbers gives results and i know there are many out there

Im with you guys. My truck look shiny sitting in the driveway but im scare to drive it because i know it will leave me stranded. Luckily i had another car which i can use to gi to work and back. This truck is a pain in the ass for me. I dont mind if the engine or transmission was bad at least i can replace it but to not knowing what is the problems is what stressed me out.

You should try changing your fuel pump. In the Lincoln Mark LT model it goes bad very easily especially in cold weather. If the fuel is not getting to the engine it might seems like the problem isbyour battery when it's not. The pump goes for $200 and the cost of labor is somewhere between $200-$400. The pump is very close to the fuel tank and away from the engine so it's not a big job. Nonetheless its still costly.

I just had this problem. Had everything checked, nobody could figure it out, then I read an article about a worn key. Checked my key and it had one lobe very worn. Tried my spare key, in mint condition, and now everything works without an issue. I'm sure that sounds crazy, but the worn key wasn't always being recognized by the system and would intermittently stall the vehicle. Cheap fix, weird as can be.

I've recently had that problem and I found it to be with the fuse box. The Ignition Switch Feed (120 - #20A) fuse shorted out. After changing it, I was able to drive just fine for a couple of weeks and just had it happen again today. I removed the fuse, blew on it like a Nintendo Cartridge and put it back which worked, but the problem is clearly a broader electrical issue I'm trying to look into. But check the fusebox under the glove box. 120 - #20A its a $5 fix Other than that, my transmission is starting to stick in certain gears and doesn't go into R from D, i have to take it to P first to three point turn. But it's given me 13 years and 215,000+ miles and I'm still here to tell my story. I agree on all fronts that for having the Lincoln Logo, it does not live up to the brand name. But I've also had the Lincoln LS as my first car and it was a total LEMON. Lasted 3 years before blowing completely.

well 1st thing that has to be the dumbest shit i have ever seen is the fuse box down under the glove box u can not get to it,no room, my father past and left me his 2008 Lincoln LT 4 dr 4x4 with 60,000 miles. it has had this palse in the transmission ever sense i have been driving it. it burns the tips off the spark plugs ,and now wont start,turns over but no crank. It has 104,000 miles it did this a time or two before but always cranked after a bit ,Not Now !
