Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am sure it is under the rear seat, I am really just trying to figure out how to remove the seat to get to it.

You are sure? Fuel pumps are usually in the gas tank.

The only thing accessible through the back seat is the float assembly. The pump, like F_O_R says, is located inside the gas tank. Honestly, I didn't know about the rear sit/float assembly, my mechanic friend told me.

Well I appreciate you two attempting to answer my question even though it seemed like you were taunting, but I know it is in the gas tank. The tank is on the back of the car, hence, under the rear passenger seat. After a bit more research, I was able to use a pry bar to detach the back seat cushion, then I removed the service hole cover to expose the fuel pump. Therefore, allowing me to replace it. Btw, I'm a 25 y/o girl, who is teaching herself simple car repairs.

No, I assure you that we were not taunting. We try our best to help out the best we can long distance, not having the vehicle in front of us. I am glad that you were able to solve the problem using your personal resources, and I apologize for not providing you with the exact information on your car; which I now have, thanks to you.

Jasmine .. glad you was able to find the fuel pump because I came here looking to find where the fuel pump is and yes I know it's in the tank as I've worked on cars for 43 years now but like you wanted to know the location and how to get the seat out because there are cars where you need to drop the tank to get to it , but newer vehicles are almost always "accessible" under the seat. But I got my answer from you ..thx
