my 91 park ave stop charging took alt in to b tested check good found icition wire bad can this system be changed over to the single wire system?

I don't understand one answer says no it can not that's it other answer says yes so can you tell me what I need to do can I just go from the I terminal on the alt jumper it over to my broken icitior wire

I think you look at that alitle harder it sure hell does matter you can spin it 10000 rpms with out that wire it don't charge

I geuss I will have to find someone who know how to fix this problem guys thanx for your help but I'm getting wrong answers
