if have a bad frost plug you would have a massive coolant leak, Check your coolant level first and if its ok then your frost plugs are all good, If you put in antifreeze and it pours out you have a problem

Bad freeze plugs make you loose all the water so of course it will run hot. Fix the leak(s) before you destroy your engine.
