How to turn check engine light off

If you don't have a scanner, then do this: with the engine off remove the positive terminal from the battery, wait about 10-15 minutes, replace terminal, turn key to the on position and count to 10, start the engine. If the light comes back, you need to scan for the code(s) and see what is wrong.

Sorry, I forgot to say that with this method you will have to reset radio frequencies and the clock.

I disconnected the temperature sensor so I can change the map sensor on a Dodge Durango but now the temp sensor is not working is connected but the scanner says is not connected. What can I do?

Jorge ur a genius! It worked, took terminal off waited 15min put the terminal on turned the key to ON POSITION waited again 10 seconds and a soon as i turned it over wahlah gone the engine light was!! Love you
