Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My son ran my wife's  2007 dodge charger out of
gas. It was running really ruff so I put a new fuel
pump in it and it is better but the exhaust  is
terrible could he have taken an o2 sensor out?  
What should I check next?

Thanks for your help. Maybe some day you will be able to pump gas from a smart phone. Haha
