How do u check transmission fluid

Thanks.. Gm / Chevrolet for an awful method of checking fluid level in the transmission. The vehicle has to be lifted and a inspection port, plug removed to check the level. Most persons won't do this, Next time it needs an oil change have a facility check it for you.

Why do you ask? Are you having problems with shifting?? You might want to consider having the transmission fluid changed in your car?
