Manual transmissions have a shifter rod where you shift the gears "the stick u move" into each gear they have a linkage that controls that. They also have in the gearbox synchros that actually allow you to pop it into individual gears one or 2 of your syncros could have gone bad? I would say take it to a transmission shop and let them diagnose it. It could be as simple as a linkage got separated off of a bracket or something and they need to tighten it up again let them show you what's wrong before you pay for anything.
