Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2001 Saturn L200 station wagon...when I start it, have it in park or have the break
on it idles between 1000-2000...my dad talked to someone and he said that there was no
way to adjust it because it's controlled by the computer...HELP??????

First of all, he's right, it can't be adjusted. Cold, for a few minutes should idle at maybe 1200, then when thermostat opens drop to 900 or so. You might have unmetered air, a vacuum leak, or a bad MAF, 02 sensor, IAC , does it have CEL on?
