Check for an obstruction in the exshaust first (mouse nest,kid's playing a prank, clogged (melted interally) cat converter. Then if all checks out well there I would check the fuel pump pressure/ lines for a kink.

I've replaced everything dealing with the fuel an air long story short for all the roadmaster problems before u change anything the wires on top of the sending unit simple ive been dealing with stalling sputtering hesitateing for months guys it's the wire on top of the sending unit i cut them an straight wired them to the car harness an boom problem solved. The wires had the fuel pump cutting on an off try it please before u spend all your money hope this helps
Reco601, can you give me a little more info on that as far as wiring to harness. I've recently done plugs, ign coil, fuel filter, cat, my car will still only start for about a minute

You know the electrical wires that come from the sending unit to the full pump on mine the wires had got corroded i cut the wires meaning i cut off the connectors that come from the sending unit to the fuel pump an just straight wired the wires from the sending unit to the pump connected the wire back with gel cap wire nuts hasn't stopped running since

O an one more thing have you changed the pump itself just cause you hear it come on it may b looseing prime if u need one i ordered mine off Amazon high performance one for like 30 buck hope this helps any more ? Just let me know
My 96 Buick Roadmaster will start fine. But when I hit the gas it cut off. Is this something you was going through?
