hot air blows from defrost and vents also blows from floor on passenger side but cold air on driver side all flaps seem to be opening and closing on 96 buick riviera not sure where to go from here any ideas

Explain your use of the word Flaps.. But I would recommend that you insert vents/A/C/Heaters in the section to your right ID as "Search Buick Riviera Questions." You should be able to some ideas since this subject has been discussed many times...Good Luck
