Squealing noise from the serpentine belt?

Asked by Maurice Apr 27, 2016 at 09:39 PM about the 2006 Buick Rainier CXL RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The belt or maybe it's one of the pullies that's
making a loud, continuous squealing noise. How
do I go about find the source of the squealing?

Take the belt off and inspect the idler pulleys, the belt tensioner, and AC bearing.

See if they spin without making noise, check for wobble in the pulley.
