what would made the trunk continue to recycle open

trunk seems to be recycling and reopening by itself

I don't know how the PA works but on the Reatta, the trunk lock is not mechanically connected...it has a switch on the back and if moisture get in the switch the trunk solenoid will act just like your PA.....hope this helps

on one side of the latch looking down is a flat piece of plastic that when depressed shuts off the motor . check to see if it is stuck or broken
