Selling a 1998 Volvo V70 XC in poor condition

Asked by CT_Volvo Aug 23, 2015 at 03:07 PM about the 1998 Volvo V70 XC Turbo AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Volvo X70 XC with 130k miles in poor condition.  It needs new breaks and shocks, the radiator leaks, etc.  I don't think it's worth repairing.  Who should I try to sell it to?  Salvage yard, parts?  And how much should I try to get?  I'm in CT on the NY border.  Any ideas are appreciated

I wouldn't sell it to a salvage yard. At 130,000 miles, that car's still a baby. Hell, I just picked up a wrecked V70 yesterday! I plan on fixing it, and it's definitely worth it to me. I'd ask $800 if it still runs, other than the radiator leaking. Someone like me who loves these cars will want it, you shouldn't have a problem selling it if you don't want to worry about it anymore.
