SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System (airbags)- you have a problem with your airbag system (sensors, or possibly modules) . The fact that it says urgent means your airbags will not function until you get this fixed (serviced). If you don't have a volvo garage nearby, a Ford garage may be able to help you, as Volvo was owned by Ford for awhile.

typically goes for an airbag crash sensor, located in front or rear bumper.

Ford may have owned Volvo... but in no way shared any designs or parts other than a couple frames and similar brake parts between the S40 and Focus.

Was any work recently performed on the car? (Car stereo, climate control, any interior modifications?) If the climate control module was removed or disconnected, the SRS will error. Part of the air bag system is located on the climate control module. Otherwise there is a likely bad connection at one of the air bags. The dealership will be able to read the codes, or find an independent Volvo/Euro mechanic with the proper scan tool.
