if the key is on,will my test light show it

Thank you! My car won't start.im getting spark through plugs,the full pump is coming on when I turn key on.not sure if it's staying on.it dies after a couple of seconds.i put fuel in the throttle body,no difference.not sure if it's the security system..the column was already apart, I have no key,so I'm turning with screwdriver on the driver's side of ignition.any ideas?I took off wire plug on injector,with key ,no hot wire
