do I need to lower or drop the rear axle to get the new suitcase muffler pipe to clear the axle for install on to the resonator pipe ??

I have been trying to find an answer to this. I’m having the same issue trying to install my new one. The pipe was broken on the old one.

unbolt the shock , unbolt the axle on driver's side . let it drop only enough that the muffler will go over the axle and then bolt it all back up ..... easy peezy
