01 VW New Beetle codes

Sorry, I'm reposting this question because I forget
to add some information. So here is the question:
I have a 2001 VW New Beetle and the two codes
that came up was P0135 and P0134 which are the
02 oxygen. How soon do they need to be replaced
because I just recently had to take my car to a
shop to get a new fuel pump in and that is the
codes that came up when I had the codes read.
The check engine has been on since I bought the
bug 4 yrs ago. But I'm slowly working on it due to
finding the parts and having to order the parts as.
If that make any sense. I'm still learning about my
beetle.

Is the vehicle loud under the hood, rather does it sound like there may be any small exhaust leaks near the engine? If not, then it'll surely be the o2 sensor or a wiring issue that connects it. Replacing the sensor without testing it first might not fix it. You don't really wanna wait if you plan to get longevity out of the vehicle, as it will cause problems.
