How to remove cover on power window motor to replace gear on 1999 VW Beetle

you can't replace jsut the motor its not sold that way. The window system comes as one all the gears motor cable and window holder. and to take the motor off is a really big pain since you have to rewind and reseal the unit properly when your done which can be very difficult
