2001 Volkswagen Jetta TDI has an
exhaust leak. Do you have to drive
with the windows down or it will smell
you out. any ideas where to start to
fix this?

Second issue the air conditioning quit
blowing cold air. We have recharged it
and it just goes back to hot within a
couple of days. Any ideas?

I am trying not to sink a ton of money
into this car. Is a 2001 with 278000
miles on it.

I am trying to fix things the right way once, that's why I asked the question here. Your condescending remark is unwarranted...I asked the question here because I thought maybe someone has had a similar issue and could maybe point Mr in the right direction. There is not a mechanic on my area that works on foreign cats so I have too do as much as possible myself. Thanks for the help!
