Yes it does have a factory brake sensor. Taken from the VWVORTEX forum : there is no NEED for the brake wear sensor. it is only connected to the inside drivers side pad (which usually is the first to wear out) and trips that dummy light. Ok I need help. My husband bought a 99vw jetta and it starts and runs for about 15 min the shuts off. We thought it was fuel issue so we changed the fuel filter still did the same thing, then thought maybe coil pack was bad so we replaced that and spark plugs still happening. My dad hooked it to a scanner and it's throwing a bunch of electrical codes, so if some one could tell me if they have ever had this issue or if you know where to start to,try and fix it I would be very grateful cause I'm at a loss.
