IF MY CAR KEEPS SHUTTING OFF COULD IT BE THAT I NEED AN OXYGEN IDLE CONTROL SENSOR

Hello, Yes, it could be this. It could also be a number of other problems. You would need to describe how, when, and under what conditions the car shuts off. I highly recommend taking it to a mechanic so that it does not shut off during the wrong time, putting you in danger. Best of luck! CarGrrl

Well I have it in my driveway.but if I turn the ignition forwards three or four times just so the fuel pump turns on then try starting it I half to hold the pedal to the floor in order for it to start but as soon as I release the gas pedal it shuts off
It could be the idling is very low. Check the pressure from your fuel pump if its good. Check your air filter and make sure the air flow is not hindered by anything.
