https://www.wheelfire.com/scontent/wheelresults.cfm? wheelsize=16&VehicleMakeFinal..................according to that website they do. But it calls for adaptors, and please don't do that to your car..an adaptor throws off the place where the load should be carried, destroying wheel bearings
The 1989 is the fourth generation Celica, came with 15 inch rims and there are other places you can buy 16 inch with the same bolt pattern, no adaptor necessary but will throw your speedometer off, showing you going slower than you are really. If you decide to change, just be aware of that so you don't get a ticket. The profile of the tire is lower however, will make up some of that difference
so it is still possible? your first answer said i need adapters, but the second answer doesnt really say
Yes its is possible...sorry my syntax was bad, it was. The first answer is just a website that sells 16's, but they only have ones that require adapters, I strongly recommend that you do NOT use those for the reason stated, it will destroy your wheel bearings. Second answer is that they are available elsewhere with the same bolt pattern, no adapters. Try a big chain tire store, except Big-O, I don't know where you are or if they are in you area, but they sell crap, cheap.
PS adaptors is wrong and you are correct, it's adapters, my bad
