Question type: General

My Mercedes R350 car Towing Alarm has gone off three times since Halloween (In less than three months) and it will not reset but runs until the car battery is completely dead. As the fuse is under the passenger seat and not at all convenient, it usually runs all night and drains my battery before we can stop it. (Unless my husband is home and it is not below zero.)
The alarm seems to go off whenever I go over very uneven terrain and it is SO annoying and making me steer clear of Mercedes in the future. Is there a way to permanently set this to off?

I disconnected the battery overnight and reconnected it today and the alarm went back on after being unplugged for 15 hours. Dead again. Third time in three months.
