Programming ignition immobilizer to vehicle

Question type: General

I replaced my immobilizer after an attempted theft
broke the old one i have the truck key and i placed
the new one i got from a junkyard and my alarm
light on the dash went away but the truck wont
start how do I program the immobilizer to the truck
and key

Unfortunately you have to get your local Dodge Dealer to do that. It must be done with a scan tool. Hope that helps! Jim

If you switch the printed circuit board in the junk immobilizer with the one from your old unit, it should not need programming. To get the board out, first unsolder the two pins illustrated. That takes some skill and desoldering braid. When the pins are free the board can be unclipped and changed over.
