I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. My tachometer stopped working one just below freezing morning as I was going up a hill. It climbed up around 5 then when I let off the gas it dropped to 0. It has intermittently worked since. At first it would sometimes work after I went down hill and hit the brakes. Now it sometimes starts working when I raise the RPM's above the norm for driving. Once when I revved it pretty high it went all the way around. When I stomped the accelerator later on that trip it went back around. Any ideas?? Seems to have a bad connection somewhere but auto's are not my thing!

Tachometer issues

My tachometer was not registering correctly, it would go down to 0 when I let off the gas and then go to normal when I pressed the gas. I took it to my mechanic and he reset it within the computer and the problem was fixed. I think if you take it into the shop and let them reset it, you will be good.
