After trying to start you hear a click noise and than no electrical power

Asked by Maxx3250 Jan 18, 2016 at 06:21 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had the problem 2 month ago and this time I thought it was the battery but
battery was in good condition, after disconnecting the battery a few while the
electrical power was back and could start. Sometimes the starter don't work
but trying it 2 or 3 times the engine worked. But now I have the same problem
like 2 month ago but after disconnecting the battery the electrical power is
back but in I try to start the RAM again no electrical power (nothing no
dashboard lights or interior lights really nothing).
Can this happen when starter is broken?

I tried it more often and the power is back after holding plus and minus cable 30 sec. together to reset the ECU and put the wires back to battery. And it happen again with no electrical power if I will start the engine.
