Would a 2500 rear axle fit my 1500?

Question type: General

Trying to replace my rear axle on my 04 ram 1500. Have the
option to get an 05 2500 rear axle, not sure if everything will
fit correctly

If you adapt it to work your rear wheels will have 8 studs but the fronts won't.

What would I need to adapt it? I already have 1 ton leaf springs on the rear

Compare the leaf spring mounts, the brake connections, the ABS connections and the driveline connection. I would remove your old rear axle and compare them side by side.
