going down the road and just stopped moving and when u put it in 4 wheel it will move u put in 2 wheel and it just grinds and there is no front drive shaft in it

I start my truck it drives fine for 10 minutes. After it warms up it won’t shift any more. It stays in first gear. I have no idea what the problem is. The truck was given to me.
