Taking off you give it gas it revs but won't shift unless you let off the gas for a few seconds. Shifts through the rest of the gears fine. Over 50mph the rpm will shoot up... 2 Answers
Til you let off the gas a little. It did get another used rear-end put in right before I bought the truck. What could the problem be and how to fix it?

I have a 98 ram 1500... my step dad backed his 2500 into it just to the left of the gas cap... it kinked the vent hose where you put the gas in... how do i unkink the hose so i can put gas in. 3 Answers
Also dificult to get the gas cap off... broke some of the lastic around that holds it in place... but i dont smell fumes so i dont think theres an evap leak.

Trying to determine if my 2004 Ram 1500 Qd cab 4wd 4.7 Liter automatic transmission is 46RE, 47RE, or 48RE so I can determine the band adjustment? Also I have never done a Band adjustment before and wonder if I should take it to a qualified Dodge mechanic, which however I do not trust dealers & most mechanics?Are the specs for band adjustment in Chilton trustworthy?Thank you for any reply I may be granted...I can turn wrenches :) 2 Answers

1998 dodge ram 1500 v8 5.2 l with a 318 . Automatic transmission 1/2 ton. It wont idol without foot on the gas. And it wont go it will not shift. The only gear working is reverse. 4 Answers
