Lumina 2006 All Gauges Drop to Zero Intermittently while Driving

Asked by Guru9SFF5R Oct 19, 2021 at 02:53 AM about the 2001 Chevrolet Lumina Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have Chevrolet Lumina 2006 LTZ model (aka Holden Commodore).
Occasionally,  during driving, all gauges drop to zero and come back
immediately. In addition, service vehicle alarm sounds too. Car does not stop or
anything but it makes me worry. Is it a computer related issue? What if
computer fails during driving, will it affect the car and cause accident?

The fuse that feeds gauges may be discolored on the contacts , if it is clean the contact surface with fine sand paper or emery board type thing .
